ResumeEdge.com Review

resumeedge.com review

Total Score: 7.1/10

My first impression of this website was great. The team of this online resume service certainly paid attention to design. However, you have to browse for quite some time to figure out what you need to order and when your product will be ready. You can’t choose a deadline, so you need to order as early as possible if you want to get the document on time. The problem is: you don’t get a lower price for ordering early.

Online Reputation

At first glance, the website seems professional. The Google+ hangouts are a nice touch; the writers offer some tips vie live hangouts. However, the past hangouts, provided as YouTube videos at the website, don’t seem professional at all. To be honest with you, they don’t make this resume help agency look good in the eyes of a potential user.

The Company’s Services and Guarantees

There are three categories of services:

  • resume writing
  • cover letters
  • social profiles

The lack of CV writing service is an obvious disadvantage.
As for the guarantees, the company has a refund and revisions policy. There is also a satisfaction guarantee, which didn’t do anything for me.

Pricing and Discount Policy

The prices are expensive. If you read other resume writing services reviews, you’ll notice that some agencies offer the highest level of quality for the price this agency has set for entry-level resumes.
Anyway, let’s stick to this precise ResumeEdge.com review. The prices for resumes are different for three categories of users:

  • Entry (with 0-2 years of experience) – $199
  • Professional (2+ years of experience) – $249
  • Executive – $399. Whoa!

You get discounts for bundle orders, so you can add social profile or/and cover letter to your order for a lower price.

Customer Support

The professional resume writers offer a personalized interview by phone with each customer. That’s a nice touch, since you can clarify your requirements and make sure the writer understands you. From that point on, I had no contact with the writer. The live chat is not non-stop available, and I didn’t get an answer via phone. I had to wait for two days for the reply to my email message.

Payment System

The website is secured with an SSL certificate from GoDaddy. You can pay with a credit card, but there is also a PayPal option. The fact that I got no refund although I wasn’t happy with the service was a big problem.

Quality of Delivered Products

The writer had no intention of giving me some hints on how to write a professional resume. However, the service offers Google+ hangouts and blog articles with some tips, so I guess can’t complain much about that. Nevertheless, direct contact with the author would be more than appreciated.

Fast-forward to the main thing: I didn’t like the resume. It was too generic. If I fill out an online resume form, I’ll get the same results. The writer just took my information and put simple sentences in a resume format. I asked for a revision and the company assigned a new writer to my order, but the result was not much different. They said that’s what you get for entry level. For $200? Give me a break!

I strongly suggest checking several reviews of resume writing services before you decide to hire ResumeEdge. My experience tells me there are better and more affordable options out there.
